back tattoos epidural

Can lower back tattoos effect an epidural?

i have a tat of a tribal sun on my lower back and the top point of it is right on my spine, my doc said that he just put it right at that point and everything was fine, he said he couldnt have made a better marker. but to answer your ? no they dont effect anything, dont worry, that tat will be the least of your worries, i couldnt have told you if i had one or not, i was concentrating too hard on other more pressing matters. good luck to ya
